Tim Goodwin
Tim is a member of the Yuin Nation from the south-east coast of NSW. He graduated from the Australian National University with combined degrees in Arts/Law. He attended the 5th World Indigenous Youth Conference in 1998, was a member of the National Youth Roundtable in 2000, a member of the International Youth Parliament 2000, and a member of the National Indigenous Youth Leadership Group from 2001-2002. Tim also returned as a member of the Indigenous Reference Group, and a facilitator for the Indigenous Rights action area, for the International Youth Parliament 2004.
Tim is currently an Indigenous Education Ambassador for the Department of Education, Science and Training and was an Ambassador for the Australian Republican Movement in 2004. In May 2002 Tim was one of two youth members of the Australian Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly's Special Session on Children held in New York.
In 2003 Tim was awarded the Centenary Medal for services to Indigenous youth.
Tim is also the Deputy Chair of the National Indigenous Youth Movement of Australia, serving on the Movement's Circle and Executive.
Lastly Tim was also announced as one of the Prime Minister’s 100 young people to attend the 2020 Youth Summit.
